Who is a traveler?

Travelers are healthcare professionals who help others in their medical careers while seeking adventure in their personal lives. Traveling creates an opportunity to work in a new environment and have the flexibility of a short-term or long-term contract. Not to mention the ability to enjoy free time around the country with endless exploration!

How much experience do I need?

Nursing: Most facilities require at least one year of experience in your medical field of expertise. Others may require two years or even previous travel jobs.

Allied Health: We can get you traveling right after graduation! New grads are welcome!

How long are the assignments?

Most contracts are eight to 13 weeks; however, we are here to help negotiate terms according to the needs of our clients. If you wish to customize a travel assignment, your recruiter will work with you to make sure those needs are met.

How do I get paid?

We pay our travelers weekly by direct deposit, mailed check, or debit card. You are paid every Friday for the preceding week’s hours. Timesheets are due each Monday and must be sent to timesheets@alegiantservices.com.

Can I travel with someone or my pet?

Of course! We encourage our travelers to bring along a friend, family member, partner and even pets. Be sure to let your Alegiant Healthcare Staffing recruiter know of this so they can make the necessary accommodations to help you get traveling.

When should I apply?

The healthcare industry is in high demand. We can get you working as soon as possible, months in advance or even further out. We recommend that all our candidates fill out an online application to get this process started, so you can see the various locations and jobs we have available. Our Search Jobs page is continuously updated, so be sure to check our listings on a regular basis!

Do I need to pay any fees?

Nope! There are no hidden fees or expenses while working under Alegiant Healthcare Staffing.

Where will I live?

We assist you with the expense of getting from one assignment to the next with our travel allowance. There are many situations in which candidates like to get a feel for the area first and locate their housing. We are flexible to meet your housing needs. Your comfort is our priority.

What happens after a completed contract?

After a completed contract, a facility can offer an extension to the contract or even offer you a permanent position. If neither of these is what you are looking for and you’d like to travel elsewhere, contact your Alegiant Healthcare Staffing recruiter and they will go to work to find your next travel destination!
